Scuba specialty training allows certified divers to expand their skills, increase confidence, and gain experience in new diving environments. Aquatic Sports offers a full range of SSI Scuba Specialty Programs designed to help divers continue learning after Open Water certification.

Specialty courses focus on specific skills and conditions, allowing you to build experience at your own pace. These programs can be taken individually or combined toward SSI recognition ratings such as Specialty Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

AVAILABLE SCUBA SPECIALTY PROGRAMS

DEEP DIVING

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty teaches the skills required to safely dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters. Training includes dive planning, gas management, and procedures for deeper diving.

DIVER STRESS AND RESCUE

This course teaches you how to recognize stress, prevent accidents, and respond effectively to emergency situations involving yourself or other divers.

DRY SUIT DIVING

Dry Suit Diving introduces proper dry suit use, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures. This course is ideal for cold-water diving conditions.

ENRICHED AIR NITROX

The Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty teaches safe use of enriched air mixtures, including planning, analysis, and procedures that can extend no-decompression limits when used correctly.

EQUIPMENT TECHNIQUES

Equipment Techniques focuses on understanding, selecting, maintaining, and storing your scuba equipment to ensure performance and reliability.

NAVIGATION

The Navigation Specialty teaches safe underwater navigation using compass skills and natural navigation techniques to improve orientation and confidence during dives.

NIGHT AND LIMITED VISIBILITY

This course prepares divers to safely dive in low-light conditions. Training covers planning, communication, entry and exit procedures, and equipment management.

PERFECT BUOYANCY

Perfect Buoyancy focuses on improving trim, buoyancy control, and breathing efficiency to help divers move effortlessly and protect the underwater environment.

WRECK DIVING

Wreck Diving teaches safe techniques for exploring artificial reefs and wrecks. Training includes hazard awareness, planning, and procedures for diving around submerged structures.
