Learn How To Scuba Dive
Open Water Diver
This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.
This program is for students who do not have the time to complete the Open Water Diver program, and provides you with the training and experience required to dive in open water environments under the supervision of a dive professional. You will earn the SSI Scuba Diver certification, which can be upgraded to the SSI Open Water Diver certification with additional training.
Scuba Skills Update
A Scuba Skills Update provides you with the opportunity to review and practice necessary scuba skills that you learned in your original Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional. The Scuba Skills Update is often a required for continuing your diving training after a long period of time away from the sport. You will be issued an SSI Scuba Skills Update recognition card.

Specialty Diver Bundle
SSI Specialty Diver is your first step toward becoming an SSI Master Diver, and can begin as soon as you complete your Open Water Diver training. By completing any two SSI Specialty programs that interest you, and logging 12 open water dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Specialty Diver recognition rating along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.
Advanced Open Water Diver Bundle
SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is the next recognition rating on the path to becoming an SSI Master Diver, and includes four SSI Specialty program Digital Kits. After completing the four SSI Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rating, along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.

Scuba Specialty Programs
Choose from dozens of specialty programs. Most Aquatic Sports divers get some or all of the following specialties under their belt to open up the underwater world.
Learn to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 18 meters.
Learn the skills to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers.
Learn the requirements for dry suit diving, using your gear and dealing with emergency situations unique to dry suit diving.
Learn to dive with enriched air mixtures. Nitrox can increase your no-decompression limits, increase safety and shorten surface intervals.
Learn how to choose, maintain and store your Total Diving System. This ensures performance and increases equipment longevity.
Learn to safely navigate underwater during a dive – use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distance, basic navigation patterns.
Learn to safely dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. You'll learn how to enter/exit, use specialized equipment and communicate with a buddy.
Learn to increase your buoyancy control, minimize your breathing gas consumption and move effortlessly above the ocean floor.
Learn to safely dive artificial reefs and wrecks. Attain the skills required to safely scuba dive above and around these underwater treasures.
